Watch Rewards are returning for the 2019 season

Watch Rewards aren’t just for Worlds anymore Riot Games Watch Rewards were introduced into  League of Legends  just last year as a part of the 2018 World Championships. They awarded players with a small amount of tokens for checking out games during Worlds. This year, Watch Rewards are back and there will be different versions for several of the world’s biggest leagues. The rewards this time around will include Emotes, Icons, XP, and Blue Essence. Just like during Worlds, players will be required to watch either live games or VoDs on  lolesports.com  after signing in with their  League  login information. Players will need to watch at least 10 minutes of a game or VOD in order to get credit for the missions. Here’s how Sylas’ Hijack works with unique League ultimate abilities

No one is safe from hijacking. Not even Udyr.

Sylas, League’s newest champion, can hijack ultimates from enemy champions and use them for himself. Very unfair, in our opinion! No one told him he could do that. Rebellion is kind of Sylas’s thing, though, and he’s going to steal those ultimates anyways ... even the weird ones that don’t seem to be easily steal-able, like Kalista or Udyr. We’ve assembled all of the weird edge case Sylas ults we could so that when he hits live, you’re ready to hijack as much as you want without any surprises.

ORIANNA

It looks like Sylas’s version of Orianna’s ultimate isn’t going to involve moving the ball around, the ultimate will just cast as if the ball was over his head.

KALISTA

Kalista’s Black Spear makes her ultimates one of the most challenging for Sylas to plan around. When a Kalista is in the game, Sylas starts with a Black Spear in his inventory, forcing him to make a similar choice to Kalista. He can’t grab just anyone on his team; he needs to swear an Oath to one team member to throw them around later.

KARMA AND HEIMERDINGER

Upon Hijacking Karma or Heimerdinger, Sylas gets access to their empowered abilities and can cast one of them. This means he can put down a giant Heimer turret or Mantra-E his team for the shields and speed boosts before returning to his normal kit.

CORKI AND TEEMO

Sylas receives their ultimate with a maximum amount of stored charges to deploy.

ELISE, NIDALEE AND JAYCE

Upon stealing a transformation ultimate with Hijack, Sylas gets access to their entire transformed kit until transforming out, allowing him to play as Cat Nidalee, Spider Elise or Ranged Jayce.

UDYR

Hijacking Udyr gives Sylas Phoenix Stance, which stacks with Petricite Blast. Bird is truly the word.

LEBLANC

Sylas steals the most recently used ability by LeBlanc and gains access to the empowered version of that ability.
We’ll be tirelessly at work in the mines trying to find every edge case and example of Sylas’s ultimate, and this post will be updated with new discoveries as they are found.

Valentine’s Day 2019: Heartbreaker Vi and Heartpiercer Fiora skins remind that love hurts

Heartbreaker Vi and Heartpiercer Fiora are the latest love themed skins Riot Games As if there wasn’t enough news already today — what with new patches, new skins and a new champion — Riot has also decided to announce this year’s Valentine’s Day skins for Vi and Fiora. Based on their titles, these two skins aren’t exactly the Heartseeker skins we’re used to. Vi’s new skin is called Heartbreaker Vi, and Fiora’s is Heartpiercer. The skins have a distinctly medieval feel to them with Fiora looking royal in a purple and red quilted dress and Vi suiting up in purple, red and gold armor. The splash even lets us know that’s the case as it features Fiora knighting Vi. This line of skins is for all things love in the  League of Legends  universe, so they should be out around Valentine’s Day. League of Legends patch 8.24b change list

Akali and Pyke nerfs! Riot Games The year is winding down and people are beginning to cozy up by the fireplace to celebrate the holidays. That doesn’t exclude Riot Games, which has dropped its last update of the year in the form of a tiny fix patch. All of the changes in here are balance tweaks. There’s no new mechanics, champions or even skins. Riot just wants to make sure that everything is in a good spot before we all take a break and get some well-deserved rest before the season 9 starts in January. Akali and Pyke are getting the most focus this patch, as the two have been trouble for quite a bit now. Akali is getting tweaks to her Twilight Shroud and Pyke is getting a number of changes.
